We’re currently focusing on gifts that can be put to work right away, cash, stock, DAF grants, IRA distributions, or other assets received by Guru Purnima 2027, directly powering our ongoing initiatives.
Legacy Giving
Long-term commitments are equally vital. Planned gifts made through a will, retirement account, or life insurance policy lay the foundation for generations to come. We celebrate every commitment today, and look forward to launching a dedicated legacy giving campaign in our next phase.
Giving today makes an immediate gift that begins supporting the mission right away. Legacy giving is a commitment recorded now, through a will, retirement account, or similar vehicle, that takes effect in the future. Many donors do both.
Any gift that reaches us by Guru Purnima 2027, in any form, cash, stock, a DAF grant, an IRA distribution, or other assets, counts toward the goal. Legacy gifts, made through a will, a retirement account, or a life insurance policy, are tracked separately since they reach us later. They matter just as much, and we record and celebrate them on their own timeline.
Art of Living Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 77-0240101), tax-exempt since 1995. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The specifics vary by how you give: a Donor Advised Fund grant was already deducted when you funded the account, and an IRA distribution (QCD) is excluded from your income rather than deducted, which can be more favorable for donors over 70½. Please consult your tax advisor about your specific situation.
No. Every gift, at every size, helps build a permanent source of support for the mission. Some giving vehicles, like Donor Advised Funds or appreciated securities, may have practical minimums set by your provider or broker.
The Endowment platform will include a live progress dashboard and an Annual Endowment Impact Report, sharing Endowment growth, how investment earnings support the mission, and stories from the programs, centers, and communities served.
Yes. On the Legacy Giving Form, you can choose to have your name included in recognition materials or to remain anonymous. We honor every donor’s preference.
